Inactivity Daily Rental Fee Setup

The following article details the process of setting up an inactivity rental fee to charge on-call services with. Each section outlined below is a required part of setup and includes a description and link to the full documentation it relates to.

Add a Service With a Daily Rental Fee

For site services receiving a service with an on-call frequency, the option to apply a daily rental fee when the service is created is available. Rent Free Days

"Rent Free Days" refers to the number of days the customer will not incur a daily inactivity rental fee. Rent Free Days are applied at the service start date, between completed services, through the billing date or end date of the service for any days exceeding the Rent Free Days. Billing uses the following logic to determine the specific days for which the customer will be charged during each billing cycle:

  • Service start date to first completed service date, OR the invoice date.
  • From the date of the last completed service to the next completion date OR the invoice date.

Daily Rate

Enter the amount the customer will be charged on a daily basis for the equipment for any days exceeding the Rent Free Days.

Create an Inactivity Charge Code

Pathway: Setup > Services > Charge Code

Assign the Inactivity Charge Code to a Line of Business

Pathway: Setup > Services > Line of Business

Enable Daily Rental Fee

Pathway: Setup > Services > Service Code
