Dispatch - Route Timeline Overview

Pathway: Operations > Dispatch

The Route Timeline screen is accessed from the Operations > Dispatch screen and provides actions a dispatcher can take against the route,  a high-level summary or view of a route, access to the Services List, visibility into truck, trip information,  and a map with stops and driver visuals. This is the one-stop shop for viewing and managing details about a single route.

Accessing the Route Timeline

From the Dispatch screen, click the route's clock icon on the far left side of the row. This opens the Route Timeline screen specific to that route.

Route Timeline Structure 

The Route Timeline screen is comprised of three sections: the header, which provides hyperlinks to driver-recorded information and stops; the list view, which displays timestamps for completed stops and driver downtime; and the map view, which displays the truck’s current location, route path, and location pins for completed and scheduled stops. 

Header
Green + icon	Opens a drop-down list that provides options to: Set Driver Log In / Out - opens the Worker Labor Hours screen to add or edit hours for the driver. Set Truck Odometer - opens the Truck Productivity screen to add a truck data. Add Disposal - opens the Add  Disposal / Shipment screen to add a disposal.  Adds a record to the grid view if a disposal is created.  Add Downtime - opens the Downtime List screen to add or edit driver down time. Adds a record to the grid view for the start and stop time associated with the downtime. Add Fuel - opens the Fuel Receipts screen to add or edit fuel usage.
Type Selection	Select what is displayed in the grid view.
Mark Complete	Click to mark the route complete.  This auto sets all scheduled stops to Completed and triggers the ability to Check-In.
Check - In	Displays after the route is complete. Click to perform the check-in process for this driver and route.
Service List Counts	Total counts for Scheduled, Completed, Pending, Do Not Service, Exceptions, and Outside Geofence services.  Count values greater than zero appear as hyperlinks that open the Services List screen filtered for that service status.
Hours	Total hours that has been logged for this route. The value is a hyperlink that opens the Worker Labor Hours screen.
Downtime	The number of hours and number of entries for each downtime that occurs for this route. The value is a hyperlink that opens the Downtime List screen. Downtime is also displayed on the List View with the timestamp the driver recorded it, duration and the reason the driver selected in the mobile app.
Distance	Total mileage logged for this route.  The value is a hyperlink that opens the Truck Productivity screen.
Engine Hours	The total number of engine hours the driver logged for this route. The value is a hyperlink that opens the Truck Productivity screen.
Fuel	The total amount of fuel the driver logged for this route. The value is a hyperlink that opens the Fuel Receipts screen.
Pre-Trip Post-Trip	If the Truck is assigned a vehicle inspection checklist, the checklist is automatically presented to the driver during clock in and clock out. The Pre-Trip and Post-Trip links provide access to the driver’s recorded inspection results from each respective inspection. Details here are read-only.
Grid View
Field	Description
[Icons]	Clock - visual indicator that the driver is logged in or logged out. Up/Down Arrows - hyperlink to
Time	Timestamp of when the event (log in, log out, service time) occurred.
Seq	Route sequence number.
Location	Physical address of service location.
Reference #	Log In / Log Out - hyperlink to the Truck Productivity screen. Service Location - hyperlink to the work order and status of the work order Downtime Tag - hyperlink to the specific Downtime entered.
Qty	The number of equipment types to be serviced.
Note	Log In / Log Out - Odometer readings and Engine Hours for Start and End times, if entered by driver or dispatcher Service Location - Note about any status changes.
Map View
Enable Geocode Update	Checkbox to enable the ability to move a service location pin to set geolocation.   Note:  In order to do this for service locations that you did not originally set, you must have Permission 490 assigned to your role.
View Site Info	Click on a pin to view details about a site and the service.
Hide/Show Route Path	Removes or displays the route path of the driver.
Hide / Show Incomplete	Remove or display the pins for the services that are in the incomplete status.
