Vehicle Inspection Type

Pathway: Setup > Operations > Vehicle Inspection Type

The Vehicle Inspection Type Setup allows you to create driver-completed pre- and post-trip inspections, which help determine a truck’s operational condition. Inspection types created here are assigned to trucks in Truck Setup, ensuring that when drivers log into the mobile app, they complete the inspection specific to that truck type.

Perquisite Requirements

The Vehicle Inspection Type Setup screen requires vehicle inspection items to be created first in Setup > Operations > Vehicle Inspection Item.  After the items are created, they can be added to a vehicle inspection type.

Permissions

The following permissions are required to use the Vehicle Inspection Type Setup screen:

Add Vehicle Inspection Type

  1. Select the green + icon to open the Add Vehicle Inspection Type tool.
  2. Enter a Name for the Vehicle Inspection Type and click Save.

Add/Remove Vehicle Inspection Items

Items created in Setup > Operations > Vehicle Inspection Items will display here and can be toggled on or off to add them to a vehicle inspection type. When enabled, the item will appear on the driver’s vehicle inspection list.

Assign a Vehicle Inspection Type to a Truck

Pathway: Setup > Operations > Truck

After an inspection type is created, it can be assigned to a truck in Truck Setup. Once assigned and saved, it will populate on the Vehicle Inspections screen when the driver logs into the NavuNav mobile application.
