Truck Type

Pathway: Setup > Operations > Truck Type
Truck Type Setup establishes and defines the distinct types of trucks utilized within the system and assists in turn-by-turn navigation by restricting the road options available to a specific truck type. This setup process further involves assigning specific truck types to individual trucks within Setup > Operations > Truck.
Permissions
The following permission is required to access and work within the Truck Type Setup screen:

Truck Type Setup Field Descriptions
| Fields | Descriptions |
Name
Required
| The name of the Truck Type.
|
External ID
| The identification number used by third party systems.
|
Transport Method
Required
| Select 'Truck'.
|
| Tare Frequency | The number of days before trucks of this type must be re-weighed. Once a truck reaches this threshold, it will be flagged, and the scale operator must record the tare weight to complete the ticket. |
Height
| The standard height for trucks of this type.
|
Width
| The standard width for trucks of this type.
|
Size UOM
| Specifies the unit for height and width measurements.
|
Road Weight
| The approximate weight for trucks of this type.
|
| Maximum Weight | The highest weight the truck can reach when completely loaded with waste.
|
Weight UOM
| The unit of measure used for the weight measurement.
|
Active
| Indicates if the truck type is available for assignment to a truck.
|
Truck Type Setup Steps
- Select the green + to open Add Truck Setup.
- Complete the following required fields:
- Enter a Name for the truck type.
- Select the Transport Method for the truck type.
- Complete additional fields based on your company's setup requirements.
- Click Save when finished.
