Pathway: Setup > Operations > Truck Type
Truck Type Setup establishes and defines the distinct types of trucks utilized within the system and assists in turn-by-turn navigation by restricting the road options available to a specific truck type. This setup process further involves assigning specific truck types to individual trucks within the Setup > Operations > Truck.
Truck Type Setup Field Descriptions

| Name Required | The name of the Truck Type. |
| External ID | The identification number used externally. |
| Require Equipment Count | |
| Transport Method Required | Select 'Truck'. |
| Enable Equipment | |
| Height | The height of trucks within this truck type. |
| Width | The width of trucks within this truck type. |
| Size UOM | The unit of measure used for height and width measurements. |
| Road Weight | The estimated weight of the truck . |
| Weight UOM | The unit of measure used for the weight measurement. |
| Active | Indicates if the truck type is available for assignment to a truck. |
Truck Type Setup Steps
- Select the green + to open Add Truck Setup.
- Complete the following required fields:
- Enter a Name for the truck type.
- Select the Transport Method for the truck type.
- Complete additional fields based on your company's setup requirements.
- Click Save when finished.
