Disposal Activity - Targets

The Disposal Activity tool tracks progress made toward a disposal location's predefined target usage goal. Progress towards target usage is calculated when a Disposal / Ship record is attached to a service record and the service record marked 'Service Completed'.

Review the following prerequisites to successfully use the Disposal Activity tool.
Permissions
The following permissions are required:

Setup
Setup > Operations > Facility > Target Usage (Tab).
Create one to multiple unique Target Usage records for a disposal location in the 'Target Usage' tab of the Facility Setup screen. Disposal Locations that do not include a target usage record will continue to display on the Disposal Activity grid with a 'Add Target' hyperlink option. However, only one target usage record can be created per disposal location if added from the Disposal Activity screen.

Division

Disposal Location
| Displays the name of the disposal location.
Material Type displays under the name only if a material type is specified. |
Activity to Date
| Displays a summary of the activity to date towards the target usage goal. Includes only Service Records marked as 'Service Complete' where a Disposal/Ship record exists. |
Pending Activity
| Displays the summary of pending disposals for the location determined by scheduled services and Work Orders.

Target
| Displays target usage details for the disposal location including current progress and a count down of days remaining. |
Unassigned Loads
| Displays a list of Route and Work Order loads that have not been assigned to a disposal location.

Add Target
The Disposal Activity tool includes the option to add a Target Usage record by selection of an on-screen hyperlink. However, only one record can be created if this option is used. Additional target usage records and edits to existing records must be done in Setup > Operations > Facility > Target Usage (tab).
Add Usage Target
- Select the 'Click to add Target' hyperlink for the disposal location to display the 'Add Usage Target' editor.
- Enter an Effective Date to indicate when target usage tracking will start.
- Optional. Select a Material Type from the drop down. Only Disposal/Ship records matching the selected Material Type will be included in target usage calculations. Leave blank if the Target Usage is not restricted to a specific material type.
- Select a Target Type from the drop down. Options include:
- Loads
- Weight or Volume
- Cost
- Select a Time Period to establish a measurable time frame for the target usage goal. This will also calculate the 'Days Remaining' amount that displays under the Target column for a disposal location.
- Enter a Target Value to establish the measurable goal for the selected Target Type.
Unassigned Loads
Route and work order records that do not have a disposal location assigned will populate in the 'Unassigned Loads' list. Select the route or work order to open the 'Edit Route Record' editor and assign a disposal location. Upon save, the route or work order is removed from the Unassigned Loads list.
