To help teams with inventory and planning, the ability to track and update Estimated Quantities directly on service charges within a Work Order or an On Call Order is now provided. This could be useful when the amount of units expected to be serviced/dropped off needs to be adjusted for the current work order or as an estimate for future orders.
To support this, a new configuration has been added at the Line of Business level to Enable Work Order Estimated Quantity.
Pathway: Setup > Services > Line of Business
Setting this to Yes will allow the Est Qty field to be displayed and editable on the Create / Edit On Call Order screens and the Edit Scheduled Service screen for work orders. The new Est Qty column is visible when configured.
As a reminder, when adding or modifying an Active Service, this Est. Qty field is also available. However, the configuration to be able edit the field is at the Charge Code level.
