This is a rolling 13-month operational and financial dashboard for a Residential waste collection business. Data rolls off monthly with the most recent period on the left, giving management a continuous trailing-year view at all times.


What It Tracks

Revenue & Financials

    • Revenue is split between Permanent (recurring contracts) and Temporary (one-time/project) customers, with Residential being heavily weighted toward Permanent given the subscription-based nature of the service
    • Disposal Cost runs significantly lower as a percentage of revenue (4–7% typically) compared to Roll-Off and Front Load, reflecting the lower disposal intensity of residential curbside collection
    • Net Revenue reflects gross revenue after disposal costs are removed

Operational Volume

    • Route Days & Routes — total days and truck routes operated
    • Hours, Miles, Loads, and Tons — core activity metrics reflecting actual field productivity
    • The most recent (current) month will typically show lower values as it represents a partial period

Efficiency RatiosThe bottom section normalizes performance for month-to-month comparison:

    • Hours/Route Day & Loads/Route Day — crew productivity (Residential runs dramatically higher Loads/Route Day than Roll-Off or Front Load, reflecting the very high stop-count nature of curbside routes)
    • Miles/Load & Hours/Load & Tons/Load — per-stop efficiency metrics (all very small given the high volume of lightweight residential pickups)
    • Disposal Cost/Ton — cost efficiency of disposal
    • Gross & Net Revenue per Route, per Hour, per Load — profitability benchmarks
